One instantly recognisable icon. Two models. The formidable Ford Mustang GT has now been joined by the track-capable Ford Mustang Mach 1.

Both Ford Mustang models deliver exhilaration on demand. Both are aggressively styled, packed with advanced features and assistance technologies. 

The Mustang Mach 1 further benefits from significant improvements with the new front aero, splitter and approach angle increasing aerodynamic performance. 

Along with a new belly pan providing significant extra downforce for traction and stability when cornering.

The 5.0-litre V8 Mach 1 engine is capable of a colossal 460 PS and 529 Nm [390 ft/lb] of torque, and a 100km/h time of 4.4 seconds in the automatic and 4.8 seconds in the manual.

Interior

A BEAST BENEATH THE BONNET

Powering the Mustang GT is an improved version of the Mustang’s renowned 5.0-litre V8 engine, which incorporates dual fuel injection technology for enhanced performance and a sophisticated 10-speed automatic transmission. While the Mustang Mach 1 has a fearsome, specially modified and calibrated 5.0L V8, capable of an outstanding 460 PS at 7,250 rpm and 529 Nm [390 ft/lb] of torque at 4,900 rpm. The Mach 1 Tremec 6-speed manual transmission has been tested to Boss 302 track endurance standards, and the 10-speed auto has been upgraded with a new torque converter, supporting optimized torque capability and performance.

The FordPass app seamlessly connects you with your new Mustang, keeping you moving in intelligent, intuitive ways. Get remote access to your sports car wherever you are, track its last location and even lock it remotely for added peace of mind. Real time traffic‡ updates delivered to your vehicle’s navigation system help you to avoid delays. And with Vehicle Health Alerts sent straight to your phone, you’ll immediately know about any issues so you can handle maintenance quickly, with all the information you need.

GO HANDS FREE WITH SYNC 3

Ford SYNC 3 helps you to stay connected. You can control your phone, music and navigation with natural voice commands. And even send destinations from the FordPass app on your smartphone, straight to the SYNC 3 navigation. The system has an 8” colour touchscreen with pinch-and-swipe gestures for intuitive control. SYNC 3 can also connect to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and with AppLink, you can access some of your favourite compatible smartphone apps.

Reaching 100km/h in a rapid 4.4 seconds, the new Mustang Mach 1 delivers rip-roaring performance. A new cooling system, precision steering and an improved chassis ensure an exhilarating drive. It even has a unique exhaust system, tuned to match its uncompromising character. Like the Mustang GT, the Mach 1 features Active Valve Exhaust technology which lets you control the sound. So you can dial up the roar with Race Track mode or tone it down with Quiet mode.

TECH TO ENHANCE EVERY DRIVE

The Ford Mustang is equipped with an array of technologies to improve your all-round driving experience. For example, the 12” digital instrument cluster displays invaluable information, optimised for your selected driving mode. Track Apps let you monitor on-track performance in real time, too. Wherever you’re driving, the MagneRide™ Damping System automatically adjusts the suspension to suit the conditions – giving you a smooth, balanced ride.
